Westaff was founded in San Francisco in 1948 as Western Employers Service. Over the years, the name changed to Western Girl, and then to Western Staff Services. Western grew to over 425 offices in the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Western changed its name to Westaff in 1998 to reflect its international reach. Westaff offers temporary employment in Office Clerical, Accounting, Light Industrial, Technical, and Medical. The company also has large on-site and out-sourcing programs.
Westaff’s office in Burlington, Vermont was opened in 1990 by David W. Mount and Fran Mount. Westaff currently has 13 locations in the New England region:
